This song was started in 2005 as I was coping with some tough feelings of isolation and despair as my close friends were all moving away. I finished it up and polished it a little years later as I started making a come back of sorts to music and feel so happy and free when I perform and beg my audiences to let me be their music box.
lyrics
MUSIC BOX
I been dancing with skeletons
Old dreams lost, yeah a long time gone.
Like when I was your music box
And you’d wind me up and I’d play for us...
I been talking ‘bout consciousness
Just wondering, waiting for some more progress
Oh if I could be your music box.
And you’d wind me up and I’d play for us…
I been dancing with picture frames
Paintings that move when you look away
Oh if I could be your music box
You wind me up and I play for us
